Holy Grail Alert: Drunk Elephant Babyfacial

My skin goals in no particular order: clear, radiant, supple, smooth

If you find one product that can deliver one of the goals above, you’re winning. If you find a product that delivers all four, you’ve found the holy grail. Drunk Elephant’s T.LC.Sukari Babyfacial is the holy grail stuff that product junkies dream of. I had already read enough reviews about the Babyfacial to know that it was loved by many. But, I wasn’t ready to give up $80 bucks for 1.62 oz. of product. Luckily, I got a Sephora gift card for my birthday! The gift card helped to offset the cost which made the purchase a little more bearable.

Drunk Elephant’s mission is to deliver clinically-effective, biocompatible skincare formulated with both cutting-edge synthetic and natural ingredients without toxins, sensitizers and irritants. The T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial is a pro-quality at-home “facial” that contains 25 percent AHA and 2 percent BHA, plus Drunk Elephant’s super blend of glycolic, tartaric, lactic, citric, and salicylic acids. The combo of ingredients work to gently exfoliate and resurface the skin to reveal a youthful radiance.

I apply the cream after I wash my face and use a toner. The brown, toothpaste-like consistency goes on thick. It took about four pumps to cover my entire face. Initially, I felt a little sting but nothing unbearable. Because Drunk Elephant products are fragrance free, you aren’t bombarded with strong smells during the 20-minute application time. That’s a big bonus for me because strong scents are a trigger for migraines. Although the Babyfacial goes on thick, it rinses off pretty easy. A word of advise, close your mouth when you rinse this stuff off — not a good taste!

After just one use, my skin was noticeably smoother. In fact, I couldn’t stop rubbing my hands against my face. I’m not sure if they call it a babyfacial because it’s like a mini facial or because it makes your skin feel so baby soft. I’ve been using the facial twice a week for about two months now. In addition to the baby soft feel, my skin is brighter and the fine lines on my forehead are less visible. I’ve even had fewer acne breakouts (maybe that’s just a coincidence).

While I was in Sephora last week, I had one of the consultants do a color match using Estee Lauder’s new Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup (review coming soon). As she applied the makeup, she said, “You’re skin is really smooth.” I thanked her and beamed inside with pride, thinking to myself, “Thanks Drunk Elephant.”

The rundown

This stuff is the real deal Holyfield and is worth all 8,000 cents. Results are instant and only get better with each use.
