Wedding Season Style

It’s June, which means school is out and nuptials are in. This wedding season included two invitations requesting the presence of me and the hubby. Since both events were outdoor affairs, one in the muggy midwest the other in the dry desert, comfort was key in choosing my wedding season style. I’m really obsessed with the color fuchsia right now, so I planned to wear something hot pink to both events. However, I spotted a rust-colored lace dress from ASOS that I couldn’t resist for wedding number one.

For wedding number two. I bought the fuschia top and skirt as seen on the model in ZARA’s campaign. It was an online purchase so I didn’t have a chance to try it on. When my beautiful items arrived, I was disappointed to discover that it was impossible to smooth out the blouse under the skirt (I’m not sure how they managed to do it for the ZARA photo shoot). The bunching under the unforgiving satin drove me crazy, so I decided to go with a black aysmmetric sateen top, also from ZARA, that wouldn’t require any tucking. Although it wasn’t the complete fuchsia look I wanted, I’m happy with final look. And since I still have the pink organza blouse, I’ll now have a nice new addition to my summer wardrobe.
